A cause very close to my heart is food insecurity in North Carolina. In 2019, over 14% of households did not have enough resources to provide adequate food for one or more household members. I am very excited to release this series with the opportunity to donate 10% of all purchases to several local nonprofits who work to combat hunger and food insecurity within North Carolina communities. I have chosen 3 nonprofits to donate to, but if you have any that you feel needs some help please reach out and let me know!
Second Harvest Metrolina
“We provide a regional distribution warehouse and branches that supply food and grocery items to charitable agencies that assist people in need. We provide training, technical assistance, and hunger education to our partner agencies.”
Friendship Community Gardens
“To community garden at the intersection of three diverse neighborhoods in order to plant, grow, and harvest healthy food options for local residents while creating space for racial and disability reconciliation within our community.”
The Bulb Gallery
“Our mission is to provide mostly local produce, as well as education on health and wellness, to food-insecure neighborhoods”
